Consultation and Support Parent Consultation
The purpose of parent training is two-fold; for the the child to safely and successfully function in  the home and the community and to participate as an active member of his/her family. Parents will learn to implement skill acquisition and/or behavior support programs with their child in the home and in the community.
In order to ensure proper delivery of services, consultation meetings are held in the clinic’s comfortable and private parent meeting space. A systematic treatment plan is developed. Parents may observe skills or programs being taught/implemented by the service provider. The service provider and parents collaboratively practice implementing the programs with the ultimate goal of parents implementing the programs independently. The service provider will provide post checks intermittently to maintain progress.

During parent consultation, the following areas are addressed:
- Social Skills
- Communication Skills
- Challenging Behavior
- Activities of Daily Living
